ICAN of Portland Meetings

ICAN provides a forum where women can recover after a cesarean and express their thoughts and concerns about birth. It is a support network for women healing from past birth experiences and for those preparing for future births.  For more information about ICAN in general, please go to www.ican-online.org.

ICAN of Portland has a face-to-face support group on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 7-9 p.m.  The meeting locations may vary, so please contact us or visit our Facebook Page for directions. Babes in arms are welcome at our meetings but we respectfully ask that older children remain at home so we can minimize distractions.

We consider our online and in-person groups to be a sacred space for mutual support. Because of the intimate and private nature of the discussions taking place, these spaces are open only to women who have experienced a cesarean themselves. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.  All discussions should be treated as confidential.

Birth Professionals and others who are interested in referring to our group or who would like more information about ICAN of Portland are directed to our Facebook Page, http://www.facebook.com/ICANofPortland.
